It's not hard to take a good night sky photograph in the international dark-sky community of Sedona, Arizona. Just pull over by the side of the road on the edge of town, set your camera up on a tripod, and release the shutter. That's what I did, more or less, to capture this image of Orion and other northern winter constellations over Cathedral Rock.
